HD Coloring for atypical atrial flutter after mitral valve repair: What is the mechanism?

Abstract

A 72-year-old man was referred for atypical atrial flutter ablation (AFL). He had a previous history of mitral valve repair due to primary mitral regurgitation, left atrial appendage occlusion and end-stage renal disease under dialysis. The transthoracic echocardiogram revealed a left ventricular ejection fraction of 35%, a dilated left atrium (45mL/m2) and no signs of significant mitral regurgitation.
