Abstract

The MPCP evaluation kits from Hamamatsu makes it easy to get up and running with using MPPC silicon photomultipliers. This videos walks you through the step by step process of setting up the evaluation kit, and connecting it to your low voltage power supply and computer. We ll also compare the output from the MPPC to an avalanche photodiode and photodiode to get a sense for the improvement in sensitivity that can be achieved with the MPPC.
