Analysis of the Correlation between the Phytoplankton Development Level, Assessed by Chlorophyll a, and Nutrient Concentrations in Rybinsk Reservoir

Abstract

Abstract A correlation analysis between chlorophyll a , nitrogen, and phosphorus compounds in Rybinsk Reservoir is carried out. During certain periods of the study, a significant correlation between chlorophyll a and inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus compounds is shown. The response of phytoplankton to the total nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations is evaluated.
