Trust’s refusal to allow girl on life support to go to Italy for treatment breaches EU law, court hears
Abstract
A London hospital’s refusal to allow a seriously ill 5 year old girl to travel to Italy for treatment is a breach of her right to free movement under European Union law and to religious freedom under the European Convention on Human Rights, the High Court has been told.\n\nTafida Raqeeb has serious and irreversible brain damage and is on life support at the Royal London Hospital after an arteriovenous malformation rupture in February.
