Test for the constancy of Grodzins product rule in the higher spin states of ground band

Abstract

Abstract. The systematics of Grodzins product has been analyzed in the $Z=50$Z=50--82, $N=82$N=82--126 major shell space. The validity of Grodzins product has been studied for the higher excited states of ground band for the first time. The proportionality between the reduced transition probabilities $B[E2;(I+2)\\rightarrow I]$B[E2;(I+2)→I] and the inverse of the energy of states $[E(I+2)-E(I)]$[E(I+2)-E(I)] is discussed for I = 2+, 4+, 6+, 8+ and 10+ of the ground band. We attempt to establish the global validity of Grodzins product for all the spins of ground band.
