Research on Intelligent Video Surveillance System in Remote Area Based on NB-IoT

Abstract

In view of the sparsely populated areas in remote areas, low network coverage, limited transmission resources, and difficult equipment maintenance, in order to realize basic regional video surveillance and ecological monitoring with the problems which are seriously lack of conditions and means, based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of video surveillance systems in remote areas, this paper proposes a remote video surveillance system based on NB-IoT. By adopting LTE BC20 NB-IoT module and camera to form NB-IoT terminal, based on cellular network, the collection, return and presentation of temperature and humidity data, smoke data and mobile cameras positions data of Louguantai were completed. The simulation verification of the smart video surveillance system in low-power area under narrow-band conditions showed that the system achieves the expected goals well.
