Online Energy Management under Uncertainty for Net-Zero Energy Ecosystems
Abstract
In recent times a lot of effort has been dedicated to realise urban net-zero energy buildings (nZEB) to reduce carbon emissions. The bundling of Internet of Things and edge computing has become the go-to source for designing an energy management system (EMS) to accommodate renewable energy sources as power supply and improve the acceptance among consumers. It is essential to develop online scheduling strategies to incorporate the intermittency of renewable energy sources and dynamic electricity tariffs. In this work, we propose an EMS framework without making any prediction and integrate only a real-time task scheduling approach to handling uncertainties during system operations.
