Analysis of Determinants of Grain Output in Henan Province based on Principal Component Analysis

 
 

Abstract


As a big province of agricultural production, in recent years, Henan s grain output has been in the forefront, and shows a trend of increasing year by year. In this paper, SPSS20.0 was used to analyze the principal component of six main factors affecting grain output: rural employment personnel, total power of agricultural machinery, irrigated area, pesticides, chemical fertilizer application, village electricity consumption. The result shows that there was a significant linear correlation between grain yield and the first principal component, and the correlation conffient was 0.883, while the linear correlation between grain yield and the second principal component was not significant. The degree of influence of the first principal component is ranked from the largest to the smallest, which is in turn: fertilizer application chemical fertilizer application > total power of agricultural machinery > village electricity consumption > pesticides > irrigated area.
