Abstract. Saidah, Muchtar, Syafruddin, Pangestuti R. 2019. Pertumbuhan dan hasil panen dua varietas tanaman bawang merah asal biji di Kabupaten Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 213-216. The use of True Seed of Shallot (TSS) for shallot bulb production has not been widely practiced in Indonesia. The availability of TSS as a healthy and high-yield shallot seed is still very limited because not many have produced TSS. The objectives of this research were to determine the growth and yield of two shallot varieties from True Seed of Shallot (TSS). This research was conducted in the farmer’s land in Kalukubula Village, Biromaru Sub-district, Sigi District, from December 2017 to March 2018. This research was designed using a Randomized Block Design non Factorial consisting of 2 treatments of varieties and repeated 10 times, so that the total experimental plot was 20 plots. The treatment consisted of V1 = Lokananta and V2 = Sanren. The observations included plant height/length, number of leaves, number of bulbs per clump, weight of bulbs per clump, bulb weight, and bulb diameter. The results showed that the shallots from True Seed of Shallot (TSS) Sanren Varieties provided greater plant height/length, number of leaves, number of bulbs per clump, weight of bulbs per clump than Lokananta Varieties, however, Lokananta Varieties provided bulb weight and bulb diameter greater than Sanren Varieties.
