Paesaggi fluviali dell’Italia Settentrionale: teorie e metodi di indagine per un progetto di ricerca storico-geografico.

Abstract

Waterscapes in northern Italy: discussing theoretical\xa0and methodological issues related to an historical-geographical project This paper discusses the theoretical and methodological frame as well as the expected\xa0outcomes of a research project devoted to the study and representation of Po plane\xa0waterscapes. The investigation is situated in the debate concerning society and hydrology,\xa0with the purpose to rethink a more complex and multidisciplinary approach\xa0aimed to investigate the tangible component of river landscapes. Regarding the methodology,\xa0historical geography and socio-geographical are integrated with representational\xa0instrument provided by geomatics, in order to provide a useful instrument for\xa0territorial knowledge. The project investigates three portions of rivers in northern\xa0Italy, which are characterized by different physical-natural and historical circumstances. This allows the description of an articulated frame of the exploited methodologies\xa0and emerging problematic. La methode combine les aspects de la recherche historico-geographique\xa0et geographique-sociale avec les outils de representation offerts par la geomatique,\xa0afin de creer un produit utile a la connaissance du territoire par les institutions\xa0et les habitants, souvent separes du paysage qu’ils habitent. Le projet etudie trois\xa0sections de cours d’eau du nord de l’Italie presentant des caracteristiques physiques,\xa0naturelles et historico-anthropiques differentes afin de fournir un cadre articule de\xa0methodologies et de problemes.
