Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the levels of digital game addiction and self-efficacy beliefs of children who do sports and who do not. In this study, which is designed according to quantitative research model, correlational research method is used. The universe of the research; There are 1200 students in the 10-14 age group who study at Ataturk Secondary School affiliated to Nigde Provincial Directorate of National Education in 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study was composed of 500 students (202 females, 233 males) who agreed to participate voluntarily (30 min. Digital games each day). As data collection tools; Secondary School Self-Efficacy Scale and Digital Game Addiction Scale for Children were used. In the analysis of data, paired comparisons and correlation analyzes were done by using SPSS 24. Package program. As a result of the binary comparison analysis, there was a difference between the groups. Similarly, correlations between scale scores were found in the correlation analyzes. As a result; It has been determined that self-efficacy beliefs of individuals are an important factor in digital gaming addiction which has become an important problem of today. Ozet Bu arastirmanin amaci, spor yapan ve yapmayan cocuklarin dijital oyun bagimlilik duzeyleri ile oz yeterlilik inanc duzeyleri arasindaki iliskinin incelenmesidir. Nicel arastirma modeline gore tasarlanan bu calismada korelasyonel arastirma yontemi kullanilmistir. Arastiranin evrenini; Nigde Il Milli Egitim Mudurlugune bagli Ataturk Ortaokulu’nda 2018-2019 egitim ogretim yilinda ogrenim goren, 10-14 yas grubu 1200 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Arastirmanin orneklemini (her gun en az 30 dk. dijital oyun oynayan) arastirmaya gonullu olarak katilmayi kabul eden, 500 ogrenci (202 kadin, 233 erkek) olusturmustur. Veri toplama araclari olarak “ Ortaokul Oz-Yeterlik Olcegi ile Cocuklar Icin Dijital Oyun Bagimliligi Olcegi” kullanilmistir. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 24. Paket program kullanilarak veri setine iliskin ikili karsilastirmalar ve korelasyon analizleri yapilmistir. Yapilan ikili karsilastirma analizleri sonucunda gruplar arasinda fark oldugu gorulmustur. Benzer sekilde yapilan korelasyon analizlerinde de olcek puanlari arasinda iliski oldugu tespit edilmistir. Sonuc olarak; gunumuzun onemli bir sorunu haline gelmis olan dijital oyun bagimliliginda sporun ve bireylerin oz yeterlik inanclarinin onemli bir faktor oldugu tespit edilmistir.
