Abstract
The Nubdhat (Akhbār) al-ʿaṣr, written by a former Granadan soldier during his exile in the Maghreb, constitutes an exceptional testimony because it is the only Andalusian chronicle that we know for the aforementioned period (c. 1477-1499). After a brief study of the chronicle as a source, we will seek to understand how the chronicler narrates the loss of Granada: the fitna, the war against the Christians (here we will pay special attention to the narrative elements that could link this chronicle with the discourse of sacralized violence or jihād) and the situation of the Muslim population after the Christian conquest and their exile to the Maghreb
