Synthesis and mechanical characterization of a non-woven nanofiber by the electrospinning technique

 
 
 
 

Abstract


espanolSe sintetiza una nanofibra no tejida o cubierta polimerica con nylon-6 como material polimerico base. Se probaron distintas relaciones acido (formico/acetico) en el equipo de electrospinning, hasta definir por observaciones macroscopicas y analisis de Microscopia Electronica de Barrido SEM la relacion adecuada de acido 3:2 y el diametro promedio de las nanofibras en 350nm, definiendo los parametros para operar el electrospinning. Acorde a la norma ASTM D 882 se calculo la Resistencia a la Traccion para esfuerzos aplicados en sentido horizontal y en sentido vertical a la direccion de las nanofibras. Con las normas ASTM D 7490 y ASTM G-15 se determino la humectabilidad por medicion de angulo de contacto, encontrando que tiene propiedades hidrofilicas con alta mojabilidad, adhesividad y energia superficial. According to ASTM D 882 standard, the Tensile Strength was calculated for stresses applied horizontally and vertically to the direction of the nanofibers. With the standards ASTM D 7490 and ASTM G-15 the wettability was determined by measuring the contact angle, finding that it has hydrophilic properties with high wettability, adhesiveness and surface energy. Nanostructured polymer covers can be used for biological isolation in health care areas, as a protective barrier to control the spread of infections
