UJICOBA MINI LINE HAULER PADA KAPAL PANCING ULUR TUNA YANG DIOPERASIKAN DI SEKITAR RUMPON DI SAMUDERA HINDIA

 
 
 

Abstract


Pancing ulur tuna ( d HL) umumnya dioperasikan di sekitar rumpon dengan tali pancing d HL ditarik secara manual saat menangkap ikan tuna. Praktik tersebut berpotensi mengakibatkan kecelakaan kerja bagi nelayan. Penarikan tali pancing d HL secara manual saat pancing dimakan tuna hingga tuna sampai ke dek kapal juga memakan waktu lama. Dalam rangka mengurangi potensi kecelakaan kerja nelayan d HL dan meningkatkan kecepatan tarik tali d HL saat mendapat tuna, maka telah dilakukan ujicoba mini line hauler pada armada d HL. Ujicoba dilakukan pada armada d HL yang berbasis di PPN Prigi tahun 2016. Ujicoba dilakukan selama 5 trip\xa0 penangkapan d HL dengan jumlah ulangan percobaan 112 kali penarikan tali dHL secara manual dan 114 kali penarikan tali d HL dengan mini line hauler . Hasil ujicoba menunjukkan bahwa penarikan tali d HL secara manual telah mengakibatkan isu kecelakaan kerja berupa luka kulit tangan ABK sebanyak 4 kasus dan isu kesehatan kerja berupa sakit pinggang ABK sebanyak 2 kasus. Sedangkan penggunaan mini line hauler telah terbukti tidak mengurangi isu kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja ABK ketika menari tali d HL. Penggunaan mini line hauler juga meningkatkan kecepatan penarikan tali d HL sebesar 1,5 kali dibanding penarikan tali d HL secara manual. Hasil uji coba juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan jumlah hasil tangkapan tuna antara d HL yang tidak menggunakan mini line hauler dan d HL yang menggunakan mini line hauler . Tuna hand line is widely used by fishers for catching yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) and bigeye tuna (T.obesus) around fish aggregating devices (FADs). The tuna hand line with targeting large-size of tuna is called deep hand line ( d HL). The existing d HL fleets are generally not equipped with auxiliary mechine such as line hauler for hauling line of d HL,\xa0 the line of d HL is hauled manually when striked / fished tuna. Hauling the line of d HL manually potential leads to work accident and health issues of fishers due to over load of work. Hauling of d HL s line manually also cause\xa0 takes a long time from moment of tuna hooked until the tuna reach on deck of boat. To reducing potential work accident and increasing hauling speed of the line, a research \xa0has carried out through t a trial of using mini line hauler in d HL boat in 2016. The trial conducted in d HL boat based at Prigi Fishing Port-East Jawa. From total of 5 d HL fishing trips, amonut of 112 replication of line hauling of d HL manually and 144 replication of line hauling of d HL using mini line hauler have carried out. The result show that there has been a work accident of fishers such as hands skin injury of 4 fishers and health issues such as low back pain of 2 fishers. In other hand, using mini line hauler in the trial has obviated the fishers work accidents and health issues. Using mini line hauler has also been proven to increase speed of line hauling of d HL. Average of\xa0 line speed d HL uses mini line hauler 12,16 m/minute and average of line speed dHL is hauled manually 7,91 m/minute. Using mini line hauler has not affected to the amount of\xa0 tuna catch of\xa0 d HL.
