Abstract

Background Natural reservoirs are united hydrodynamic systems and contain hydrocarbons in cracks and pores. When developing and operating oil and gas fields, it is necessary to maintain reservoir pressure at the initial level to prevent the rocks destruction and the natural hydrodynamic system disruption. Reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) system allows to achieve maximum rates of oil recovery from the reservoir by pumping a working agent into the reservoir. This method is widely used both in the territory of the Russian Federation, and throughout the world. Aims and Objectives To analyze the measures effectiveness to maintain reservoir pressure at Potochnoe oil field: o by sources of flooding, volumes of injected water and low-pressure water lines; o at block cluster pump stations; o on high-pressure water lines; o on injection wells. Results Based on the data of the development and operation of the RPM system of the Potochnoye oil field, the current state is presented and recommendations for further efficient operation of this system are proposed. It has been established that the majority of high-pressure water lines are in operation at the limit and exceed the permissible service life, they observe the diagnostics of their technical condition. Installed pumps do not allow to maintain the required volumes of water injection and performance reserve. To ensure maximum water injection volume, it is recommended to replace pumps. Provide accounting of the injected water in injection wells. VCA type flowmeters are recommend for use. If necessary, for control measuring of injection capacity modern portable flowmeters are recommended to use.
