Creencias distorsionadas sobre la violencia de género en docentes en formación de Colombia

espanolLa violencia contra las mujeres es un problema social y de salud publica que tiene lugar en todos los paises. El presente articulo de investigacion analiza las creencias distorsionadas sobre los roles de genero y la violencia contra las mujeres en la pareja en una muestra de docentes en formacion. La muestra esta conformada por 443 estudiantes (71,6 % mujeres y 28,4 % hombres) de distintas universidades colombianas. Los resultados reportan diferencias estadisticas entre hombres y mujeres en la aceptacion de las creencias distorsionadas, siendo estos quienes presentan un mayor acuerdo al respecto. Los sesgos cognitivos muestran una relacion positiva con el sexismo ambivalente y los mitos del amor romantico. En consecuencia, con el objetivo de prevenir la violencia contra las mujeres y fomentar la igualdad, es esencial la formacion del profesorado en materia de genero. The different socializing agents, including teaching staff, are essential to prevent and educate in equality. The main aim of this research is to analyse the distorted beliefs about gender roles and violence against women in a sample of trainee teachers. The participants were 443 students (71.6% females and 28.4% males) from different universities of Colombia. The results show statistically significant differences between men and women in the acceptance of distorted beliefs about gender roles and violence against women; the rate of agreement is higher among men than among women. The predictor variables of distorted cognitions about gender-based violence are different depending on the sex of the participants. The distorted beliefs show a positive correlation with ambivalent sexism and myths of romantic love. Consequently, with the aim of preventing gender-based violence in relationships and promoting real equality between women and men, gender-equality-based training for teachers is essential. portuguesA violencia contra as mulheres e um problema social e de saude publica que ocorre em todos os paises. Este artigo de pesquisa analisa as crencas distorcidas sobre os papeis de genero e violencia contra as mulheres no casal em uma amostra de professores em formacao. A amostra e composta por 443 estudantes (71,6% mulheres e 28,4% homens) de diferentes universidades colombianas. Os resultados relatam diferencas estatisticas entre homens e mulheres na aceitacao de crencas distorcidas, sendo eles os que apresentam maior concordância nesse respeito. Os preconceitos cognitivos mostram uma relacao positiva com o sexismo ambivalente e os mitos do amor romântico. Consequentemente, com o objetivo de prevenir a violencia contra as mulheres e promover a igualdade, a formacao de professores em questoes de genero e essencial.
