Literasi sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran sistem ekskresi menggunakan pedoman praktikum berbasis literasi sains

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa Indonesia menurut hasil PISA dan dari hasil beberapa penelitian orang lain yang telah dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran sistem ekskresi menggunakan pedoman praktikum berbasis literasi sains. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat satu kelas yang mendapat perlakuan yang terdiri dari 34 siswa, sebelum pembelajaran, siswa diberi pretest soal kemampuan literasi sains dan setelah pembelajaran siswa diberi post-test dengan soal yang sama dan ditambah soal penguasaan konsep. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan desain one group pretest post-test desain . Instrument yang digunakan yaitu soal kemampuan literasi sains dan soal penguasaan konsep. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa setelah pembelajaran sistem ekskresi menggunakan pedoman praktikum berbasis literasi sains berada pada kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata nilai 70,06. Kemampuan literasi sains tersebut berdasarkan pada aspek kompetensi dan aspek pengetahuan literasi sains. Kemudian secara keseluruhan siswa sudah menguasai penguasaan konsep mengenai materi yang telah dipelajari dengan baik. \nThis research is motivated by the low scientific literacy of Indonesia students according to PISA results and from the results of several other researches that have been conducted. The purpose of this study is to analyze the students scientific literacy skills and conceptual mastery after learning the excretion system using scientific literacy- based practical guideines. In this study there was one class consisting of 34 students. Before learning, students do pre-test questions regarding scientific literacy skills, thn after completing learning, students work on post-test question with the same question and add concept mastery questions. This research used a pre-eksperiment method with one group pre-test post-test desain. The instrument used was a matter of scientific literacy skills, and conceptual mastery questions. The results of this study indicate that the students scientific literacy skills after learning the excretion system using science literacy – based practicum guidelines are in the high category with an average value of 70,06. Scientific literacy abilities are based on aspects of competence and aspects of scientific literacy knowledge. Then overall the students have mastered the conceptual mastery of the material that has been studied well.
