Abstract

OZ Calismanin oncelikli amaci ilkokul ogrencilerinin fiziksel aktivite katilim durumlarina gore motor yeterlik duzeyleri arasindaki farki belirlemektir. Fiziksel aktivite yapmayanlar okul disi hicbir fiziksel aktiviteye katilmadiklarini beyan etmislerdir. Ogrencilerin motor yeterlik duzeylerinin belirlenmesi icin Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Yeterlik Testi kisa formu (BOT-2 KF) ile kilo ve boy olcumleri icin baskul ve stadiometre kullanilmistir. Olcumler sonucu elde edilen verilerin analizinde ilkokul ogrencilerinin fiziksel aktivite yapma durumlari ile motor yeterlik duzeyleri arasindaki farkin fiziksel aktiviteye katilanlar lehine anlamli oldugu tespit edilmistir (T (133) =4.06, p<0.05). Fiziksel aktivite yapan ogrencilerin BOT-2-KF puanlari (=54.20), yapmayanlardan (=49.63) daha yuksek bulunmustur. Yapilan korelasyon analizi sonucu yas (r=.539), boy(r=.387), kilo (r=.207) gibi degiskenler ile motor yeterlik puanlari arasinda anlamli iliski bulunmustur (p<0.05).\xa0 Regresyon analizi sonuclarina gore yas, boy, kilo ve fiziksel aktivite yapma durumu gibi degiskenlerin BOT-2-KF toplam puani uzerinde etkili oldugu gorulurken en buyuk etkinin yastan kaynaklandigi tespit edilmistir (β=.539, p<0.05). Anahtar Kelimeler Motor yeterlik, Beden kutle indeksi, Fiziksel aktivite, Ilkokul ogrencisi. ABSTRACT The primary purpose of study was to determine differences of primary school students’ motor proficiency (MP) level according to physical activity (PA) participation. Second purpose of study was to examine the relationship of MP level and PA participation, age, gender, height, weight, BMI of students and lastly to determine effect of these parameter on MP. Sample group was composed of primary students from Pamukkale Educational Foundation Elementary private school in Denizli. 48 ( age =107.47±13.11 month-olds) physical activity participant (PAP) and 87 ( age =101.48±14.58 month-olds) non-physical activity participant (NPAP) students were voluntarily participated in this study. Children PAP have been engaged in PA for at least three months, and frequency of participation varies from two days a week-one hour a day to six days a week-two hours a day. Those who did not engage in PA declared that they did not participate in any PA outside school. The Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition – Short Form (BOT-2-SF), was used to determine the MP levels of the students and the scale and stadiometer were used for weight and height measurements. It was found that PAP and NPAP students’ MP levels was significantly different in the favor of PAP (T (133) =4.06,p<0.05). PAP students BOT-2-SF score (=54.20) was higher than NPAP (=49.63). There were significant correlation between the MP level and age (r=.539), height boy (r=.387) and weight (r=.207), (p<0.05). According to the regression analysis results; age, weight and doing PA level were found to have an impact on BOT-2-SF total score, while the greatest effect was found from age (β=.539,p<0.05). Key Words Motor proficiency, Body mass index, Physical activity, Primary school students.
