Pattern of clinical manifestation and antibiotics sensitivity of Burkholderia Cepacia sepsis in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of tertiary care centre of North India
Abstract
Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia) is saprophytic and phytopathogenic, glucose non-fermenting, motile and multidrug resistant gram negative bacilli which are not considered a part of the normal human flora. B. cepacia has emerged as an important opportunistic as well as multidrug resistant pathogen in hospitalized and immunocompromised patients.
