Abstract

The transformation of the economy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and socio-economic instability has increased the importance of digital preorientation of the development of regional and municipal structures, increasing their influence on the formation of a smart space that meets the level of development of society in accordance with the concept of sustainable development. The methodological basis of the research is formed on the basis of content analysis of research and economic and statistical data that characterize the main trends in digitalization and industrialization of management systems of subjects and municipalities of the Russian Federation in conditions of uncertainty and transformation of economic conditions. The tools for implementing the initiative to implement the Smart city and Smart region projects based on the introduction of information and communication technologies in various spheres of life that can accelerate the economic development of territories and improve the quality of life of citizens are studied.
