Kontribusi Habits Of Mind terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Matematis Siswa pada Materi Geometri

Abstract

CONTRIBUTION OF HABITS OF MIND TOWARDS STUDENT MATHEMATICAL LITERACY ABILITY ON GEOMETRY. The relationship between habits of mind with mathematical literacy ability is the basis of this research. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of students habits of mind and the influence of habits of mind on students mathematical literacy ability. This research is an ex post facto method. Through a purposive sampling technique selected 35 students of class VIII at one of junior high school in Bandung. Students work on geometry problems in the material to build flat side spaces and habits of mind scale. The results found that habits of mind had a positive contribution on students mathematical literacy ability by 43.5%. It can be concluded to improve students mathematical literacy ability by increasing habits of mind.
