A total of 724 potentially relevant titles and abstracts were found during the electronic search. Finally, nine studies required for this systematic review. Prevalence of perioperative respiratory adverse event in pediatric anesthesia was 10% (ES, 0.10 95% CI 0.01, 0.19) among nine studies and heterogeneity found (I2=0%; P =0.96).
