El Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación: transformación institucional y social

Abstract

Institutions have been created in our country to give life to democracy, and among them, the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch has played an essential role. In the present work, the strengths and weaknesses of Mexican institutions are shown through the study of a jurisdictional body that has gone through complex democratic processes that have led it to overcome political, media and social pressure. Political and institutional changes that, accompanied by the democratic transition, have resulted in an increasingly robust system in which the electoral justice system has been in charge of providing legal security to all those who participate in democratic processes.
