“Azote imperialista”, petróleo y cambio climático en el Caribe

Abstract

According to previous works on this issue, the Caribbean is one of the most sensitive regions to the effects of climate change and global warming. So, it gives this region a unique position to understand and evaluate their impact in the future, as well as provide feasible alternatives to prevent problems for humanity. After a brief analysis of the processes that have contributed and will contribute to increasing the vulnerability of the region (specifically, its function as a dumping ground for waste, as well as the region’s subordinate role within climate forums), this work offers a way in which climate change will impact the economy, politics and geography of the Caribbean.
