HUBUNGAN KOMITMEN AFEKTIF DENGAN IKLIM ORGANISASI DIMEDIASI OLEH ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOURS PADA KARYAWAN
Abstract
The increase of an organizational productivity is assumed to be the result of better organizational environment. Employee interaction within the organizational environment is often defined as the organizational climate. Organizational climate is influenced by affective commitment and organizational citizenship behaviors. This study was intended to evaluate the relationship between affective commitment and organizational climate mediated by organizational citizenship behaviors. Subjects in the study were composed of 174 employees. The data were gathered by utilizing random sampling techniques and Mediating Multiple Regression analysis method. Furthermore, the measuring instrument used in this study consisted of the Clior Scale to measure the organizational climate variable, the OCQ Scale to evaluate the affective commitment variable and the OCB Scale to assess the organizational citizenship behavior variable. The results of the study indicated that organizational citizenship behaviors were capable of mediating the relationship between affective commitment and organizational climate. Moreover, employees who were affectively committed to the organization would be able to minimize negative aspects in the company. Consequently, the employees would demonstrate OCB behaviors by complying with all company regulations and maintaining good relations with all members of the organization which could further lead to a positive organizational climate.
