Criteria for Evaluating a Forensic Expert Report

Abstract

Criteria for a forensic expert report evaluation in criminal proceedings are considered. Modern practice of applying special knowledge for the purpose of proof in criminal cases is analyzed. Forensic experts’ report evaluation problems connected with violations of current procedural legislation and qualification level verification of state and non-state forensic experts are considered. Proposals for possible solutions to the identified problems are formulated.
