Improvement on Phase Shift Precision for Transmit Module of X-Band

 
 

Abstract


As the important component of Active Phased Array Radar, the phase shift precision of transmit module has the important role on the performance of radar. A research on X-band transmit module is made in this paper, in the case which the electrical performance of some modules (about 8%) can not meet the index request, the method of combining the simulation with the test is presented. According to the analysis of the circuit affecting to output power and phase shift precision, the improvement on feeding circuit of final power amplifier is made, which greatly improves the phase shift precision. Because of the improvement in this paper, the phase shift precision is improved to less than 3°from greater than 4°.
