Design of multibeam antenna with different beam size
Abstract
Because of ever-increasing traffic quality demands for internet, satellite systems should aim at designs that use the satellite resources in most efficient way. In the high throughput satellite system, this is achieved by making optimal use of frequency reuse, power allocation, and especially quality of beam layout. This paper presents a single feed per beam (SFPB) multibeam antenna by using different feed to realize different beam size. This design can minimum the amount of beams while keeping excellent performance in the coverage.
