A Series-Fed High-Gain Antenna with Frequency-Controlled Beam Scanning

 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


In this manuscript, we propose a new type antenna to realize frequency-controlled beam scanning. This antenna is series-fed with a single-conductor transmission line (TL) which supports the propagation of spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs). Two rows of double-sided split ring resonators (SRRs) serve as the radiator array. It is proved that the scanning range is 83 degree and the average gain level is 13.3 dB from 8.2 to 10.8 GHz.
