Abstract

Abstract. This research entitled The Effect of the Documentary Program Si Bolang Trans 7 on Viewing Interest among Children. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between documentary programs and children s viewing interest. The theory used in this research is the Use and Effect theory as the main theory. To support this research, the researcher uses mass communication theory and a little about TV programs, documentaries, and watching interests. The population of this study were elementary school children in grades V & VI. Determination of the sample using the taro yamane formula, where the number of samples is 89 of the total population whose results are 115 respondents. The samples were determined in two ways, namely purposive sampling followed by non-purposive sampling to find the number of samples per class. The research result of this study is that the researcher did not find a significant relationship between the Si Bolang documentary program and the influence of viewing interest among children Keywords : Documentary Programs, Interests Abstrak. \xa0Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Program Dokumenter Si Bolang Trans 7 Terhadap Minat Menonton di Kalangan Anak-anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti hubungan antara program dokumenter dengan minat menonton di kalangan anak-anak. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori\xa0 Use and Effect \xa0sebagai teori utama, sebagai pendukung penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori komunikasi massa dan sedikit tentang program tv, dokumenter, dan minat menonton. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah anak-anak sekolah dasar kelas V & VI. Penentukan sampel menggunakan rumus taro yamane, di mana jumlah sampel adalah 89 dari jumlah populasi yang hasilnya berjumlah 115 responden. Penentuan sampel ditentukan dengan dua cara yaitu purposive sampling yang dilanjutkan dengan non purposive sampling untuk mencari jumlah sampel per kelas. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah peneliti tidak menemukan hubungan yang signifikan program dokumenter Si Bolang mempengaruhi minat menonton di kalangan anak-anak Kata kunci : Program dokumenter, Minat
