Abstract

ABSTRACT:Chinua Achebe s interpretation of Joseph Conrad is part of the english literary canon and colonial and postcolonial studies. As a focus of debate and invitation to self-critical, historically aware interpretation it forms a critical intersection that demands responsible reading. This essay proposes some preliminary considerations regarding the process of evaluating of Achebe s legacy.Whatever Conrad s problems were, you might say he is now safely dead. Quite true.
