Ethno-confessional processes in East Kazakhstan (according to the results of sociological research)

Abstract

The article presents the results of a sociological study of ethno-confessional processes in East Kazakhstan. The study was conducted jointly by the researchers at Altai State University (Russia) and the East Kazakhstan State University (Kazakhstan). As a result of sociological studies, the confessional preferences of the respondents, the ethnic composition of the population, and the degree of interethnic and interfaith tensions were revealed.
