Untersuchung des Einflusses der Einlaufprozedur auf das Reibungsund Verschleißverhalten von geschmierten Kontakten mit der Finite-Elemente-Methode
Abstract
The aim of the investigation is to assess the influence of different running-in procedures to the friction and wear behavior of a journal bearing by using a finite element simulation. Real surfaces have been scanned in and mapped on two opposite arranged solids which are separated by a lubrication layer. By applying a load to one solid, local contact zones develop and solid-to-solid and lubricated contacts develop. Elastic and plastic deformations facilitate the computation of the local wear depth. The results show a dependence of the initial load condition on the increasing of the final wear depth. The inspection of the subsequent running phase depicts an enhanced wear resistance of the surface by increasing the load in the running-in phase. Hence, by raising the initial load the wear in the following running phase can be reduced.
