Studi Komparasi Performa Motor Bensin Dengan Sistem Injeksi Air Melalui Intake Manifold

 
 

Abstract


This study aims to compare the performance of an otto motor with pertalite fuel with and without water injection. The test was carried out on a single cylinder four stroke motorcycle engine with a capacity of 103 cc. The test machine is modified with a Port Water Injection (PWI) system which is controlled electronically using Arduino Uno. The fuel injector is used to mist high pressure water supplied by an electric pump. Water is injected into the intake manifold when the intake stroke occurs. The inertia dynamometer is used to measure the torque and power of the engine produced. The results show that the addition of a water injection system can increase engine torque and power. The average increase in power and torque was 9.37% and 8.45%, respectively. Keywords : Engine performance, water injection, Arduino Uno
