Simulating Intragroup Movement of Synchronous Generators
Abstract
Abstract The intragroup movement of synchronous generators running for an infinite-capacity bus is considered. The flows of electromagnetic energy between the generators connected to a common bus are analyzed. The model designed in MATLAB/Simulink is proposed for this purpose and includes a system of generators, a line, and an infinite-capacity bus. The proposed model allows studying the stability of a multimachine system in various operational modes. The implementation of the automatic excitation regulator is also considered. An example of a two-unit system is provided for which the performance characteristics are derived.
