Characteristics and Survival of 927 Moroccan Adults with Acute Myeloid Leukemia: Monocentric Experience
Abstract
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most frequent type of acute leukemia among adults and the most aggressive form of leukemia which is associated with the lowest survival rate [1-3]. It is a highly heterogeneous group of hematological disorders that results from the acquisition of chromosomal aberrations and somatic mutations. These abnormalities lead to the accumulation of myeloid precursor cells arrested at early stages of the maturation and differentiation process (myeblasts) [4-5].
