Abstract


The present work corresponds to a cooperative project of linkage with the society with a duration of one year, in which participated the Technological University Indoamerica. The autonomous government de- centralized Mejia, students of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic sciences, the association of Cabinet-maker of the Canton Mejia as beneficiaries. As part of the initial process, a diagnostic of the real situation of the association carried out, through a questionnaire of business diagnosis based on the model of the EFQM/Mg in which ten variables or dimensions analyzed: leadership, strategy and planning. Quality of the commercial management, personnel manage- ment, resource management, information manage- ment, quality system and processes, quality system and processes, customer satisfaction and Satisfaction of the commercial management. Then a market study of the furniture sector conducted to analyze the tastes and preferences of the potential. This market study mainly covered the preferences for the type of furniture, the type of wood and finished, the price, the form of payment and the site in which this furniture are purchased, 98% of respondents use wooden furniture. Based on the deficiencies of both the diagnosis and the results of the market study, 100% of cabinetmakers were trained in administrative areas. The Organization s organizational chart also proposed as well as the positions profiles and finally the implantation of the 9 s is suggested for the continuous improve- ment of the association, which currently has 80% compliance.
