Hubungan antara Pengetahuan, Tingkat Konsumsi Protein, Zat Besi, dan Vitamin C dengan Kadar Hemoglobin pada Mahasiswi Kebidanan

 
 

Abstract


Young women have a higher risk of anemia than young men, this is because young women experience menstruation every month and desire to diet so that the body is deficient in important nutrients such as iron. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between knowledge about anemia, protein consumption levels, iron, and vitamin C with hemoglobin levels in midwifery students. This type of research was observational with cross-sectional design. The population of this study were all students of the Midwifery School, Universitas Muslim Indonesia with population size of 131. The sample were taken by simple random sampling technique based on certain criteria of 42 students. Data were collected using questionnaire, then anlyzed using Chi-square test. The results showed that there was relationship between hemoglobin levels with knowledge (p=0.035), protein consumption levels (p=0.000) and iron consumption levels (0.017); and there was no relationship between hemoglobin levels and vitamin C (p=0.757). \nKeywords: knowledge; anemia; protein; iron; vitamin C; hemoglobine \n \nABSTRAK \n \nRemaja putri memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami anemia dibandingkan remaja putra, hal ini disebabkan karena remaja putri mengalami menstruasi tiap bulannya dan keinginan untuk diet sehingga tubuh kekurangan zat gizi penting seperti zat besi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang anemia, tingkat konsumsi protein, zat besi, dan vitamin C dengan kadar hemoglobin pada mahasiswi kebidanan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswi prodi DIII Kebidanan Universitas Muslim Indonesia, dengan ukuran populasi 131. Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling berdasarkan kriteria tertentu berjumlah 42 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner, lalu dianalisis menggunakan Chi-square test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar hemoglobin berhubungan dengan pengetahuan (p=0,035), tingkat konsumsi protein (p=0,000), dan tingkat konsumsi zat besi (p=0,017); serta tidak ada hubungan antara kadar hemoglobin dengan vitamin C (p=0,757). \nKata kunci: pengetahuan; anemia; protein; zat besi; vitamin c; hemoglobin
