Tem dinheiro no lixo: Uma prática em modelagem matemática

 
 
 

Abstract


This article tries to show the paths taken by mathematics teachers, still without experience in Mathematical Modeling, in the conduction of a task using this methodology. Activity developed in a state school, with students of the 9th grade in the municipality of JataíGO. The difficulties encountered in the course of the activity and actions taken, such as: the choice of theme, data collection, formulation of problems and hypotheses, formulation of the model and validation, interpretation of the results, answers to the problem and way of presenting the results to the interested parties . The idea is that the teacher can work on math topics based on a daily problem indicated by the students, in this case the production of garbage in the classroom. This work proposal requires teacher preparation in order to recognize and identify constructions.
