HUBUNGAN SLEEP HYGIENE TERHADAP KUALITAS TIDUR PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2

 
 
 
 

Abstract


Abstrak Gejala sekunder yang biasa dirasakan oleh penderita Diabetes Mellitus (DM) tipe 2 adalah gangguan tidur. Sleep hygiene merupakan suatu latihan atau kebiasaan yang dapat mempengaruhi tidur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Sleep Hygiene terhadap kualitas tidur penderita Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Indralaya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional melalui pendekatan cross sectional . Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 29 responden dan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner sleep hygiene index (SHI) untuk mengukur skor sleep hygiene dan kuesioner Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) untuk mengukur kualitas tidur. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Pearson Product Moment . Hasil penelitian didapatkan skor rata-rata sleep hygiene adalah 15,79 dan skor rata-rata kualitas tidur adalah 9,31. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sleep hygiene dengan kualitas tidur penderita DM Tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Indralaya ( p value = 0,017). Diharapkan pada perawat komunitas yang ada di Puskesmas Indralaya yang salah satu perannya sebagai edukator, memasukkan teknik sleep hygiene dalam pendidikan kesehatan yang harus diberikan pada penderita DM tipe 2. Sleep hygiene is an exercise or habit that can affect sleep. This study aims to determine the correlation between Sleep Hygiene and sleep quality of people with DM type 2 in the working area of Indralaya Health Center. This study is a quantitative study with a correlational design through a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 29 respondents and selected based on inclusion criteria. Measuring instruments used the sleep hygiene index (SHI) questionnaire to measure sleep hygiene scores and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure sleep quality. Data were then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment test. The results showed an average score of sleep hygiene was 15.79 and the average score of sleep quality was 9.31. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between sleep hygiene and the sleep quality of patients with Type 2 DM in the working area of Indralaya Health Center (p value = 0.017). It is important to the community health nurses at Indralaya Health Center, which one of the roles as an educator, to include sleep hygiene techniques into health education that must be given to the people with type 2 DM.
