Recent advances in new drugs for neuroblastoma
Abstract
Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial malignant tumor in children. Chemotherapy is a vital treatment of high-risk NB patients. Because of its late recurrence, distant metastasis and drug resistance, the clinical prognosis remains poor despite aggressive interventions. In recent years, development and application of various types of drugs, represented by immunotherapy and targeted therapy of gene/signaling pathway, have significantly improved the survival rate. This systematic review offers an overview of the mechanism, effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of new drugs for NB. \n \n \nKey words: \nNeuroblastoma;\xa0Drug therapy;\xa0Immunotherapy;\xa0Targeted therapy
