The influence factors and nursing strategies of postoperative sleep disorders in elderly patients with hip fracture

 
 
 

Abstract


Objective \nTo study the influencing factors of postoperative sleep disorders in elderly patients with hip fracture and the corresponding nursing strategies. \n \n \nMethods \nSeventy elderly patients with hip fracture who were treated in our hospital from February 2016 to December 2017 were selected, their sleep disorders and the factors that caused sleep disorders were analyzed. Then, the corresponding nursing strategies were explored. \n \n \nResults \nThe type of sleep disorders of 70 elderly patients with hip fracture included difficulty in falling asleep in 36 cases (51.4%), early awakening in 29 cases (41.4%), inability to fall asleep in 28 cases (40.0%), and shortened sleep time in 26 cases (37.1%). The factors affecting postoperative sleep disorders included pain in 47 cases (67.1%), discomfort in 19 cases (27.1%), psychological factors in 44 cases (62.9%), environmental factors in 18 cases (25.7%), drug influence in 7 cases (10.0%), and mental disorders in 20 cases (28.6%). These patients should be given painkilling care, psychological guidance, sedation treatment, and other measures to intervene, and the desired results could be obtained. \n \n \nConclusion \nThe postoperative sleep disorders in elderly patients with hip fracture are affected by many factors, and the corresponding effects can be obtained after the corresponding nursing measures. \n \n \nKey words: \nNursing intervention;\xa0Sleep disorders;\xa0Hip fracture of the elderly
