Enlightenment from Hyperglycemia and Adverse Pregnancy Outcome Follow-up Study on management of gestational diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) women carry a higher risk for abnormal glucose metabolism in later life and also put their offspring in a risk of abnormal glucose metabolism, overweight or obesity. Thus it is crucial to implement standard management of GDM and emphasize long-term postpartum follow-up.
