Prognostic analysis of radiosensitivity of head and neck cancer

Abstract

Radiotherapy is one of the important treatments for head and neck cancer. The sensitivity of radiotherapy for head and neck cancer can be affected by various factors, including human papillomavirus(HPV) infection, infiltration of immune cell subsets in tumor microenvironment, and expression level of endothelial growth factor receptor(EGFR)EGFR and P53 in tumor tissues. Besides, how these factors influence the sensitivity of radiotherapy are differ from one another.Therefore, this review focuses on principle factors and related mechanisms affecting the sensitivity of head and neck cancer radiotherapy. \n \n \nKey words: \nHead and neck cancer;\xa0Human papillomavirus;\xa0Radiosensitivity;\xa0Immune cells
