Diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound in postmenopausal vaginal hemorrhage

Abstract

Objective \nTo study the diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound in postmenopausal vaginal hemorrhage. \n \n \nMethods \nEighty-two patients with postmenopausal uterine bleeding from January 2015 to January 2017 in the First People’s Hospital of Yangquan were selected. They were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 41 cases in each group. The control group were examined by transabdominal ultrasound. The patients in the observation group were examined by transvaginal ultrasound, and the diagnostic results were compared between the two groups. \n \n \nResults \nUltrasound examination of 82 patients with a history of postmenopausal vaginal hemorrhage revealed that the types of diseases were no organic lesions of endometrium, benign endometrial diseases and endometrial carcinoma. According to the results of histopathological examination, the coincidence rate between the control group and the pathological results was 58.54%(24/41). The coincidence rate of the observation group to the pathological results was 85.37%(35/41). The coincidence rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The detection value of endometrial thickness without organic lesion, benign endometrial disease and endometrial carcinoma in the observation group was more accurate than that in the control group (P<0.05). \n \n \nConclusions \nThe diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound examination for postmenopausal vaginal hemorrhage is higher, the accuracy is also higher, and the operation is convenient, so it can be widely recommended in clinical practice. \n \n \nKey words: \nLaparoscopy;\xa0Open surgery;\xa0Ectopic pregnancy;\xa0Curative effect
