Observation on the effect of fluconazole combined with clotrimazole vaginal suppository in the treatment of mycotic vaginitis

Abstract

Objective \nTo explore the clinical effect of combined application of fluconazole and clotrimazole vaginal suppository in the treatment of mycotic vaginitis. \n \n \nMethods \nEighty-six patients with mycotic vaginitis admitted to Datong Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning Service Center from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into observation group and control group by number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with clotrimazole vaginal suppository alone, while the observation group was treated with clotrimazole vaginal suppository and fluconazole. Efficiency, recurrence rate and disappearance time of symptoms were compared between the two groups. \n \n \nResults \nThe total effective rate (97.67%) in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (88.37%, P<0.05), and the recurrence rate (2.33%) in the follow-up period was lower than that in the control group (9.30%, P<0.05). The disappearance time of clinical symptoms such as vulvar pruritus, lumbar and abdominal pain, leucorrhea abnormality and voiding pain in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). \n \n \nConclusions \nThe combined use of fluconazole and clotrimazole vaginal suppositories in the treatment of mycotic vaginitis can achieve satisfactory results, which is helpful to improve the clinical efficacy, reduce the risk of recurrence and shorten the course of disease in patients with mycotic vaginitis. \n \n \nKey words: \nMycotic vaginitis;\xa0Fluconazole;\xa0Clotrimazole vaginal suppository;\xa0Therapeutic effect
