Effects of continuous renal replacement therapy in patients with severe lactic acid poisoning

Abstract

Objective \nTo observe the application effects of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) on patients with severe lactic acid poisoning. \n \n \nMethods \nA total of 260 patients with lactic acid poisoning treated in Shanxi Armed Police Hospital from December 2015 to December 2018 were selected, and they were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 130 cases in each group. The control group was treated by routine symptomatic treatment, while the observation group was treated by CRRT on the basis of routine symptomatic treatment. The mortality rate and changes of blood biochemical indexes before and 24 hours after treatment were compared between the two groups. \n \n \nResults \nThe mortality rate of observation group(3.85%, 5/130) was significantly lower than that of control group (16.92%, 22/130, ) P 0.05). The levels of pH and CO2 combining power in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group 24 hours after treatment, and the levels of blood lactic acid and blood urea nitrogen were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05). \n \n \nConclusions \nCRRT can reduce mortality rate, improve blood biochemical indexes and promote lactic acid clearance in patients with severe lactic acid poisoning. \n \n \nKey words: \nLactic acid poisoning;\xa0Continuous renal replacement therapy;\xa0pH value;\xa0Carbondioxide combining power
