Investigations of non-edible seeds oils in comparison with soybean benchmark for production of biodiesel
Abstract
As a result of the above and depending on the vegetable oil used for the production of biodiesel in commercial quantities, it negatively impacts the cost of the oil and its sources (corn, soybean, etc) resulting in the scarcity of these food materials creating potential human hardship. Even switching from SVOs to WVOs is unlikely to solve the problem since the production of biodiesel in commercial quantities due to increased demand is expected to outstrip supplies of the WVO resulting in the non-sustainability of the industry.
