Peningkatan Interaksi dan Prestasi Belajar Peserta Didik Melalui Model Kooperatif Tipe TAI

 
 
 

Abstract


The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of TAI type of cooperative model in improving interaction and study achievement of students. The subjects of this study are 24 students in grade V of elementary school. Research type used in this study is class experiment, conducted in two cycles with two meetings for each cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In the end of each ending cycle period, evaluation was conducted by answering student evaluation worksheet. The result on study interaction shows improvement from cycle I with 50% interaction to 70% interaction in cycle II. Study achievement also shows improvement. Subject completeness classically in cycle I for natural science is 62.5% and it becomes 70% in cycle II. While subject completeness classically in cycle I for Bahasa Indonesia is 70% and it becomes 75% in cycle II. Research findings in this study are 1) during group discussion some students still does not want to say their opinion and 2) the tendency to group only with their close friends makes the groups formed by teacher to build interaction less optimal and affects student achievement for some students.
