DORNBURG ATÖLYESİNDEN TATBİKİ’YE SERAMİK
Abstract
Aesthetics, art and craft are a series of concepts that cannot be clearly separated from each other, as well as their discussions cannot be ended descriptively and conceptually. In 1919, with Walter Gropius famous manifesto, a new and different era was initiated with the inclusion of design and technique. This period is also known as the design revolution. Although they continued their activities in a short period of time as 14 years, they spread the concept of design that aims to transform functionality into aesthetics to the World. The State School of Applied Fine Arts (DTGSYO) is undoubtedly the most important representative of the Bauhaus doctrine in our country, Applied as used by its founding lecturers. The ceramic art / craft, where art-craft discussions are most intense, came to life in the Dornburg workshop within the Bauhaus with a new perspective. Deriving from this understanding, the art of ceramics continued its academic existence in the Ceramics Department, which was established in the same year with the establishment of the School of Applied Fine Arts in 1957. The Dornburg workshop is one of the basic workshops of the Bauhaus School and is in the first group established. This workshop is the leading example of the “Tatbiki” ceramics department and has become an important reference source for the department. However, there was no domestic publication about the Dornburg workshop, and the reflection of the Bauhaus teaching on the ceramic art and education, especially in the ceramic art and education, was aimed to explain the article by citing our school graduate teachers and mentioning the historical.
